This review is for the Kalkal 16¡± snake boots. I¡¯ve had these boots for about three weeks and have worn them scouting and saddle hunting. I¡¯ve worn them several miles through thorns, vines, swamps, and my stick ladder has tried to scrub through them. But, they are holding up great due to the abrasion resistant material. They¡¯re 100 percent waterproof and I haven¡¯t had any foot fatigue while saddle hunting. They are really comfortable right out of the box and you absolutely can¡¯t beat the price for the quality. Highly recommend.
I have had several positive experiences with this company, including one of my favorite hunting saddle platforms, so I was excited to try these snake boots. The overall construction and material quality seem very good, especially for a boot designed to provide snake-bite protection. They appear durable and well suited for hunting or working in areas where that extra level of protection is important.However, the fit was not as comfortable as I expected. I normally wear a size 10, but these feel closer to a size 11. The extra room made it difficult to get a secure fit without adding thicker socks, and the boots are already fairly warm. Trying to compensate with additional socks was not ideal in warmer conditions and led to some blistering during use.These may work better for someone with a wider foot or for colder-weather use when thicker socks are more practical. Overall, the boots seem well made and offer solid protective value, but I would recommend paying close attention to sizing and considering ordering down if you are between sizes or prefer a more secure fit.
Super comfortable and flexible for the height. Very impressive quality and the treads and stitch look top notch. Great value compared to other insulated boots. Very versatile boots the keep warm but can also be use for 2 season with no issues.
I recently got these Kakal Hunting Boots and have been very impressed with the quality and comfort. They have a great camo design that blends in well with the outdoors, and they feel sturdy enough for long days in the woods.The waterproofing is a big plus, especially when walking through wet fields, mud, or using in colder weather. My feet stay dry, which makes a huge difference when spending hours outside. The anti-slip sole also provides excellent traction on muddy trails, rocks, and uneven ground, giving me more confidence with every step.The added protection against snake threats is the main feature that gives me peace of mind while hunting in areas where snakes, all around FL, may be present. I haven’t had to test that feature, but the boots do have that outer layer that feel as though they will be able to stop those two fang creatures.I really like the shock-absorbing sole, which helps keep my feet comfortable during long walks. The boots are easy to get on and off and have a side zipper. The fit feels supportive without being too bulky.Overall, these are excellent hunting boots for the price. Comfortable, waterproof, warm, and built for outdoor conditions. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable pair of hunting boots!
I’m very impressed with these waterproof snake boots. They are tough and durable, have excellent tread, extra reinforcing around the toe and are also very comfortable. Despite being large, tough waterproof boots, they are fairly lightweight and are not heavy to wear.The cushioning around the top of the boots makes them much more comfortable against the legs as it can take sometime to adjust to wearing a high 16″ boot.The side zipper and lacing is a great feature which allows you to get a great fit using the laces but then ease of removal with the side zippers.
