Build Your Saddle Hunting Setup in One Go!
Trying to piece together a saddle hunting setup? This starter kit brings the core gear together in one package: a hunting saddle, platform, four climbing sticks, and two safety ropes. It gives mobile hunters a ready-to-go setup without having to find each piece separately.
Saddle Hunting Starter Kit Features
- Easily Carry the Whole Setup to Your Spot: The complete setup weighs 21.2 lbs. The platform can be folded, and four climbing sticks can be stacked together and secured with the included tie cord, making them easier to carry as one compact bundle.
- Lightweight Saddle for Long Sits: The saddle weighs just 1.42 lbs and features breathable fabric for comfortable support during long sits in the tree. Adjustable straps help you fine-tune the fit for a more comfortable hunting setup.
- Better Footing and Shooting Position: The oversized angled platform features deep anti-slip texture and a larger foot-standing area to help keep your boots planted. With up to 35° of angle adjustment, you can fine-tune the platform to find a more comfortable footing position. The saddle setup also gives you more freedom to adjust your position for 360° shooting around the tree.
- Climb Up High and Safe: The four climbing sticks feature wavy anti-slip steps and deep serrated tree teeth for secure footing and a firm grip on the tree. Two safety ropes are included for added protection: one connects the saddle bridge to the tree as a tree tether, while the other helps keep you connected to the tree while climbing.
- Keep Noise Down: A quiet setup matters when you’re hunting close to deer. The climbing sticks and platform are specifically designed to help reduce unnecessary noise during setup, climbing, and movement in the tree.
- Tested to ASTM Standards: All included gear has been tested to ASTM standards, and the complete saddle system supports up to 300 lbs, giving you added confidence in your setup before you head into the woods.

This is a great all-in-one setup and another welcome addition to my already way-too-large collection of hunting gear. What I like most is that you are getting a complete system rather than having to piece everything together separately.
The kit includes four 6061 aluminum climbing sticks, an anti-slip tree platform, and a lightweight hunting saddle, which makes it a very convenient package for someone looking to get into saddle hunting or add another complete setup to their existing gear.
I have had good experiences with Kalkal products, and while they may not be one of the biggest names in the hunting industry, they have become a brand I am comfortable recommending based on the gear I have used.
The components feel solid and well suited for their intended purpose. Whether you are already experienced with saddle hunting or just getting started, having the major pieces together in one package makes things much simpler.
At $319.99, I think this is a very good value for everything included. Purchasing climbing sticks, a platform, and a saddle individually can add up quickly, so getting the main components together at this price makes a lot of sense to me.
