These are Kalkal’s classic ankle deck boots: waterproof 4mm neoprene and rubber construction, anti-slip suction outsole, and an EVA insole with memory foam for the arch. Slip them on for fishing, boating, gardening, car washing, or just walking the dog in the rain. Available in multiple colors and half sizes.

So far I really enjoy the KalKal boots. As an avid fisherman, I am always looking for a comfortable deck boot. These boots seem to be true to size which is pretty nice. They are very comfortable and seem to have good arch support for all day comfort. I like them!

I'll start off by saying that I just got these boots, so I can't comment on longevity. They do look well constructed so I don't have any immediate concerns. These boots are super comfortable - I'm normally a size 12.5, but these boots at size 12 fit perfectly. I'd order a size 12 if my normal size was a 12 or a 12.5. I wouldn't expect them to be extremely warm as there isn't a lot of lining, but they are definitely waterproof. The loops on the front and back of the opening make it super easy to pull them both on and off. And sole is pretty thick making for a very comfortable boot. I'm actually excited for the weather to get a bit worse so I can wear these a lot more! Highly recommended. Thanks!

I own a pair of Muck boots ¨C often considered the gold standard in waterproof slop boots. But ya know what? Used once, they have since sat unused for years. I really don¡¯t like the thick, bumpy, uneven, rubber soles. Sure: for trudging through the muck and mire of a farm animal pen or the bogs of Ireland, those soles are probably perfect. But for more pedestrian uses, such as wet decks, wet pavement, wet lawns, etc., those chunky clunky soles are difficult to navigate in. The weight alone of those thick rubber soles pulls down on your feet. So I never reached for them again. When I saw these rain boots, my eyes lit up. These have the soles of your favorite Converse sneakers but with all the waterproof and slop-proof properties of Muck boots. PERFECT! I gave my pair a quick spin down the driveway and through rain-soaked lawn: they performed perfectly and effortlessly. Where these will be absolutely perfect is for walking to work in the city. I have been trapped several times by rain and snow clogged street gutters at crosswalks (because all sidewalks now dip down to street level for wheelchair access and often flood). I¡¯ve had no choice sometimes but to just plow through the ankle deep water and slush in whatever shoes I¡¯m wearing and deal with the consequences when I get home or to work. Having these easy-to-slip-on boots will be perfect. And they even look stylish in any urban jungle ¨C unlike Muck boots, which look more "real jungle." In terms of size, I wear size 9? in shoes. But I know boots, especially slip-on boots, run big. So I ordered size 9, and they fit me perfectly. Unless you have wide feet, I¡¯d recommend ordering one-half size down.

The tread is not super aggressive, more of a tennis shoe style tread which is ok as I don't plan to hike it them. The tread is perfect for taking the dog for a walk or wearing them out in the boat. The boots are COMFORTABLE!! Recommendation I have for sizing is that they are true to size. I usually take a size 10.5 men's. After reading the description I got the feeling that they ran small so I ordered a size 11 - I really wish that I didn't. The size 11 boot still fits me, just a bit more room than I need - the size 10.5 would have been perfect. So order to your true size, you will be impressed with this boot!
