How to wear gaiters?
Step 1: Adjust the straps and buckles on the outside to fit your lower leg.
Step 2: Adjust and tighten the top and bottom buckle to fit your leg.
Step 3: Thread the laces through the soles, and adjust the hook and instep straps.
Step 4: Adjust the waist buckle and hanging buckle to the appropriate size.
I live in a very wooded area where it's not unusual to see snakes often. I haven't seen may venomous snakes around, but who wants to risk it? With these gaiters I can stride into the undergrowth with a little more confidence. They're easy to put on and heavy duty. I can't really determine whether they'd be effective in a strike and I hope I never have to test that, but I do feel a little safer going into the woods protected! These seem a good value for the money.
I live in Texas and these Kalkal Snake Gaiters are a great piece of mind when working on my rural property. Not only do they offer great protection against snakes, but also cactus which are ever present.Additionally, the fit is great and offers plenty of adjustment. They were easy to fit over my jeans and boots and I had them adjusted to my size in no time flat. Furthermore, I really like that they are almost full length, offering more coverage than other brands I have seen. The added shin protection is a nice bonus.
These gaiters are relatively light-weight, allow you to move well, and also provide a lot of protection.I am very impressed by the quality of materials and design that went into these gaiters.I tested the product by trying to punch through them with a screwdriver & scissors- no visible signs whatsoever. So then I tried while wearing them with light pressure then leveling up to stronger force. Again these shined beautifully- no damage of any kind, and did not feel any impact against my legs. I absolutely would feel comfortable that these would protect me from punctures from animal bites or going through deep brush.The protection extends from mid thigh to below ankle. There is a small slit behind the knees to allow you to move freely (which I found quite easy to walk in them with near full mobility)Only downside I see of these gaiters is the top of the foot is uncovered. The same company sells gaiters that also provides protection to top of the foot. I don't understand why these gaiters which are more expensive removed this feature. If it had been included I would give five stars. Without it, I still feel like I have some vulnerability to my feet.Overall, this is a very well engineered product that should offer plenty of protection while still allowing good maneuverability. This pair of protective lower limb (leg) gaiters are better than I imagined them. I hope the photos are helpful to see the awesome features included.Made out of Heavyweight 2200D material with a shield shin guard built into each provides awesome armor. There are plenty of buckles for adjusting it to your legs and a hip wrap that loops through the upper portion to keep it secure as a belt would be worn.These rise to a considerable height far above snake strike areas which makes these perfect too for other tasks like berry picking or hiking in thickets etc.There are nice larger snap close type pockets with flaps built in each leg too that are very conveniently located within standing reach without having to bend much at all to access them, making them very easy to use. Nice design!Over all these are built and designed very well and I would trust them in snake territory or for other outdoor activities for sure.5 stars !!!!!
These are well made gaiters , They are made with heavy canvas with very thick rubber , they are made to resist snake bites and when walking through thick brush it's great to have piece of mind that if a snake is lurking where you can not see you are protected . They are also great when walking in briars because nothing sticks to these gaiters .
